Located in our Head Office in Maitland NSW, this role of Indigenous Recruitment Consultant/Mentor will play a key role within the company. This position will add value through the ongoing development & implementation of innovative training and mentoring programs designed to meet the needs of our indigenous participants and clients.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, community engagement including liaising/networking with Aboriginal corporations, Land Councils, Indigenous forums and business, mentoring Indigenous trainees and workers in our programs, supporting workplace supervisors. Additionally you will work on internal and external projects focussed on increasing indigenous participation into sustainable employment. You will work to enhance cultural awareness across our client base and must have a willingness to travel as required.
Selection Criteria:

Previous experience in mentoring Indigenous employees

Experience in Business Development

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Positive attitude and willingness to attempt any challenge

Ability to work autonomously

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Current drivers licence and ability to travel between NSW Offices
Desirable:

Minimum of 3 years in this environment

Knowledge of Australian Apprenticeship system

Knowledge of the recruitment, training and employment industries
