Indigenous Development Outcomes is a not-for-profit organisation whose vision is to focus on adding value to strategic and complex projects, whilst providing communities with professional corporate support and a fundamental commitment to ensuring the most advantaged Cultural, Social, Environmental and Economic outcomes are achieved for our people and communities.
Together we are delivering the “Tamworth and New England Employment and Business Development Project” approved for funding under the Australian Government Jobs Fund – Get Communities Working. This project will create and support 90 Traineeships or Apprenticeships and 5 long term jobs for Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians across Tamworth, Uralla, Armidale, Gunnedah and Liverpool Plains regions in the general and civil construction and related sectors.
This position will add value through the ongoing development & implementation of innovative training and mentoring programs designed to meet the needs of our participants and clients. You will have a role that will require you to support trainees to be successful in their roles and maximise successful traineeship completions.
Selection Criteria
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to

Community engagement including liaising/networking with Aboriginal corporations, Land Councils, Indigenous forums and business

Mentoring Indigenous trainees and workers in our programs

Supporting workplace supervisors

Current drivers license.

Sound computer skills
