Together we are delivering the “Tamworth and New England Employment and Business Development Project” approved for funding under the Australian Government Jobs Fund – Get Communities Working. This project will create and support 90 Traineeships or Apprenticeships and 5 long term jobs for Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Australians across Tamworth, Uralla, Armidale, Gunnedah and Liverpool Plains regions in the general and civil construction and related sectors.
You will be a capable and experienced trainer with a capacity to get the best from people. This key role will initially provide pre employment training to prepare candidates for traineeship positions with our clients. The role will then evolve into onsite training and mentoring of participants to maximise work placements and support trainees to complete the training qualifications.
Ideally you will have experience running training courses and have a strong construction industry background. You will need to have the type of personality that gets the best from participants and wants to help people succeed in a new career.

As the successful candidate, you will be:

An exceptional communicator with experience delivering content across the full range of soft skills including communications, teamwork, job seeking, work preparation and OH&S

Experience developing people through quality training delivery, formal training qualifications and a demonstrated capacity to develop and work to training schedules and session plans.

You will come forward with a current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment [TAA40104] or be willing to obtain.

Demonstrated experience within the construction or related industries

Experience in delivering training programs and competency based assessments

Ability to relate to learners of all ages

Display effective communication skills

Hold a current drivers licence and be flexible to travel
